Summertime is underway in Middle Tennessee! Our nation is gearing up for its 250th birthday; pictures of beach and camping adventures flood social media; and city parks ring with the sound of bats connecting to balls as parents cheer kids around the bases. People line up at food trucks to buy frozen treats. As a fading sun flings its colors across the sky, evening breezes smell of freshly mown grass, day-old sunscreen, and grilling meat.
It’s the time of year to kick back a little—but we all know health needs don’t take a break. At HOPE Family Health, we’re busy making plans to take quality health care to more people, with more services in more locations.
Mobile Health Services: Expanded Hours and a New Location
HOPE’s mobile health unit is making behavioral health services more available than ever! Starting this month, HOPE is adding days, hours, and even a new location to the HOPE-mobile’s rotations throughout HOPE’s service area.

HOPE’s established monthly rotations to Lafayette, Portland and Hartsville have increased from one afternoon each month to two consecutive six-hour days in each location. HOPE now visits Lafayette on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month; Portland on the second Tuesday and Wednesday; and Hartsville on the third Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Best of all, HOPE now takes mobile health services to a fourth location! Our mobile unit now travels to Lebanon in Wilson County on the fourth Tuesday and Wednesday of each month, where our behavioral health team sees patients from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
At HOPE we know transportation is a problem for many patients, and we know healing happens more quickly when you can receive the care you need when you need it. HOPE’s mobile health unit comes to you. Call 615-644-2000 today to make your appointment.
Men’s Health: Staying Active, Eating Well, and Having Fun
Men, mark your calendars now for a special event HOPE is throwing just for you on Wednesday, August 5, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Pavilion at HOPE Westmoreland. We’ll have free food (think game day snacks), ways to win great prizes, ideas to make fitness fun and competitive, and simple ways to make eating both healthy and delicious. Vendors and health care providers will be here to answer your questions about men’s most common health conditions, including heart health, stroke prevention, controlling hypertension and diabetes, cancer screenings for prostate, colon and other types of cancer, and mental health information.
Staying active, eating healthy, and having fun: it all adds up to living longer. We’ll have more information on this event soon, so watch this space!
But Wait! There’s More!
HOPE is planning a September event for the whole community with food trucks, kids’ games, a food and clothing drive, and more. And HOPE will join community partners throughout our service area for events throughout this summer and fall. So come visit us at HOPE, where healthcare is accessible, affordable, and sometimes even fun!
